Purpose: To assist professional writing bodies and writers to promote Fijian, Rotuman and Hindi literature and history.

Funding: $5000 maximum

Objectives of Program 3

• Foster excellence, understanding, and appreciation in Fijian/Rotuman/Hindi writing
• Assist Fijian writers to maintain their literary heritage and for presentation to the wider community
• Advance the community's appreciation of Fijian/Rotuman/Hindi literature and history
• Encourage the development of more professional writers in Fijian language
• Promote ready access to literary cultures and traditions throughout Fiji
• Assist organizations intending to stage book fairs, exhibitions, forums and workshops for promotion of Fijian literature and history
• Assist organizations or institutions willing to undertake writing classes for aspiring writers
