Program 4 Music

Purpose: To support the overall development of the music industry and to encourage the appreciation and development of music in Fiji.

Funding: $5000 maximum

Objectives of Program 4

• Build up and maintain significant local music organizations for nurturing of excellence and innovation in the music industry
• Provide access to as many peoples as possible to music experiences of all kinds
• Nurture the musical talents of aspiring young composers
• Foster the presentation of works by Fiji composers
• Encourage the performance of original music through improvisation or community artistic collaboration
• Encourage artistic innovation in the creation, content and presentation of music
• Assist organizations promoting and strengthening Fiji's overall music industry through workshops, forums, seminars, exhibitions, awards, orchestral concerts and other national events

Areas of Funding
National music events, festivals, Music Industry Development workshops, Copyright seminars, special concerts and music exhibitions, and production musical works by composers
