UNESCO Capacity Building Workshop:

The UNESCO Capacity Building Workshop on the Intangible Cultural Heritage Safeguarding Plan & International Assistance Request in the Pacific.

Day One – The Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage and International Request Assistance in which our Pacific Delegation were informed of the basics of the 2003 ICH Convention and the Operation Directives. The Pacific Delegation also gave reports of their countries on the implemention of the ICH Convention.

Day 2 – Focus on Safeguarding and Community Involvement.

Day 3 – Focus on Safeguarding Plans as a Basis for Airs, group presentations in identifying cultural elements and how to do submission documents.

Day 4 – Focus on the purpose, logic, procedures and forms for IARS.

Day 5 – Focus on International Assistance and Safeguarding with the Presentation of Workshop Certificates
